01About this product
The product for people who already wear glasses. A rimless filter lens on a sprung stainless bridge clip that grips the bridge of an existing frame, so the filter sits in front of whatever prescription you already have rather than asking you to choose between the two.
The clip flips up on a friction hinge, which means you can lift the filter out of the way for colour work without taking anything off your face. It fits frames with a bridge between 14 mm and 22 mm, which covers most adult glasses but not all of them, so measure yours before ordering. Supplied in a hard clamshell case, because a rimless lens loose in a bag does not survive long.

Measure your bridge first
The bridge is the gap between the two lenses of your existing frame, measured across the top of your nose. If it is between 14 mm and 22 mm the clip will fit. Outside that range it will either fall off or splay the frame.
Clip from the front, not the side
Hold your glasses steady and bring the clip straight on from the front until the sprung arms seat over the bridge. Pushing it on sideways is what bends the spring out of shape.
Flip up rather than remove
For a task where colour matters, flip the lenses up on the hinge. Repeatedly clipping on and off wears the spring far faster than using the hinge does.
Case it when it is off
A rimless lens has no frame to protect its edge. Put it in the clamshell rather than loose in a bag or a drawer.
Fitting these frames
There is one size. Work from the three numbers in the specification table above — 52 mm lens width, 18 mm bridge, 145 mm temples — and compare them with a pair of glasses you already wear comfortably; the same three numbers are usually printed inside one of that pair’s temple arms. If you are within roughly 2 mm on the lens and bridge figures, this frame will sit the same way. Both temples are wire-cored, so an optician can adjust them to your head and the adjustment will hold.

- Will this work over my prescription glasses?
- That is what it is for, provided your bridge measures between 14 mm and 22 mm. Measure before ordering.
- Will it scratch my existing lenses?
- The clip contacts the frame bridge rather than the lens surface. Fitting it on sideways rather than straight from the front is the one way to risk contact.
- Can I use it on sunglasses?
- Physically yes, but stacking an amber filter over a dark tint leaves very little light, and there is no reason to filter blue light outdoors.
- Is the clip a medical device?
- No. These lenses are not a prescription or medical device and do not diagnose or treat any eye condition.
