01About this product
The same filter lens as the classic frame in a considerably larger shape: 145 mm across the front and 56 mm of lens width, with more depth through the lens as well. The practical reason to choose it is not fashion but field of view, since a deeper lens keeps the frame edge out of your peripheral vision when you are looking down at a keyboard.
The extra size means extra weight, at 31 g against the classic frame at 24 g, and wider 9 mm temples to carry it without flexing. Spring hinges at both sides. Moulded-in silicone nose pads. Microfibre pouch included. Non-prescription, with no optical power in the lens.

Check the frame clears your cheeks
A deep lens can rest on the cheekbone when you smile or look down. If that happens, the nose pads can be pinched very slightly inward to lift the frame; a few degrees is enough.
Let the temples take the weight
At 31 g this frame is heavier than the classic. It should sit on the ears and the bridge together, not slide down onto the tip of the nose, which usually means the temples need a gentle inward bend behind the ear.
Clean with the cloth, never with paper
Microfibre dry, or barely damp with water. No paper towel, no alcohol wipes, no hot water — all three shorten the life of a coated lens.
Fitting these frames
There is one size. Work from the three numbers in the specification table above — 52 mm lens width, 18 mm bridge, 145 mm temples — and compare them with a pair of glasses you already wear comfortably; the same three numbers are usually printed inside one of that pair’s temple arms. If you are within roughly 2 mm on the lens and bridge figures, this frame will sit the same way. Both temples are wire-cored, so an optician can adjust them to your head and the adjustment will hold.

- How much bigger is this than the classic frame?
- 7 mm wider across the front, 4 mm wider in the lens, and noticeably deeper. If the classic frame feels tight at the temples, this is the one to try.
- Do oversized frames filter more blue light?
- The lens coating is identical, so no. What they do cover is more of your field of view, which some people prefer.
- Will they fit over a prescription pair?
- No. For wearing over prescription glasses, the clip-on lenses are the correct product.
